Strawberries

I decided to finally give B strawberries this week. What took me so long, you may be wondering?  Well, he's had a mild case of eczema since he was very young, so i figured i didn't really want to take any chances.  But now, I think he's mostly okay.  So we picked up some strawberries this past Sunday and I've tried for the past two days getting him to eat them.  But he's just been spitting them right back out.  I was dicing them into small pieces and even tried to cover them in vanilla yogurt for him but no success. 

So today I decided to just hold the strawberry by the leaves and have him just bite into it...and it worked!  He actually ate about two strawberries.  Yay...persistance pays off.  Guess he'll be having a couple of bites over the next few meals :)  they were pretty yummy ones too...even pretty to look at.

okay...we're going to enjoy the indoors today while it pours outside.  tried to have a Skype conference call with family members in Boston, New Hampshire, and Vietnam this morning but the internet connection was not cooperating most likely to the storms nearby.  boo.  oh, well...sunny skies are just a day away...or a few hours knowing the weather patterns around here :-P
