already been a month?!

dood.  i know i'm no good at this blogging thing...why do i still try to do it then?  i think i must just have a bunch of random thoughts going around and need an outlet to put them sometimes :)  i had written out a short update and then tried to add some pics...but blogger was not being friendly and did something weird to the photos.  but i'm going to try again anyhoo.

what have i been up to i'm sure you're not wondering...lol...well let me share anyways :D starting from where i left off a month ago.  i started preparing for B's 1st birthday.  coming up with a theme seemed to be the most daunting task...but at the end of the day I really thought "bears" would be a good idea, especially since i'm always calling him "benny bear" or "benjamin bear" or "sugar bear" etc...you get the idea.  anyhoo...upon creating the evite (yes, i'm that budget friendly...an unemployed you know)...well i came across this cute bear design and hence "Benjamin's Beary 1st Birthday Party" was on it's way to coming to fruition. 

being 1/2 Korean, we were planning to through the traditional "dohl" or "1st birthday party" for our little guy.  we ending up choosing our neighborhood clubhouse as the venue and we were going to just order food and bring it there.  the biggest drawback about having his party there was simply the occupancy limit.  the dining area could only hold up to 60 ppl comfortably and so our guestlist was very much limited.  there were so many folks that were a part of his 1st year of life that i soooo wanted to invite but wasn't able to do the the limited number of people that we could invite.   lately, we've been to several "dohl" events that looked almost like weddings.  hubby and i really didn't want to do anything so grand but rather keep it small and casual and the clubhouse was about as small and casual as i could get it.  anyhoo...it all went well and although B might not remember the party ever...we will have plenty of pics for him to look at later on and i will have the memories of my bubba's 1st birthday party.  here are some pics (fingers crossed i can upload without issues)...

hmmm...why can't i be web design savvy...then maybe i could use a different format for my blog.  maybe i should just go back to xanga....it was so easy and user friendly.  i'm going to try there with my pics...and if that doesn't work, i'm hitting the sack.  i'm actually quite tired...but after trying to catch up with my google reader blogs i was feeling inspired to update.  now i've hit a snag. boo.   maybe i can only update from my phone from now on.  we shall see :)
