Amazing to see God in the lives of these very humble and interesting people. anyhoo - this year's conference was really great and i'm am able to be a part of it because of my BFF Mia...who with me realized that she and I have now known each other for 15 years. so many things have happened and it's been such a memorable past decade and a half.
let's see what else happened this weekend...
on Saturday morning, DH and I went over to our friends' house to watch their 2 kiddos while the parentals when to get one of the kiddos 1st bday. watching a toddler is a lot harder than i imagined it to be. watching a baby not too bad. both of these kids, however, we like angels. then it was time for us to head to the restaurant that the birthday party was being held at. all in all, it was a lovely afternoon filled with yummy food and cake (which was so nice!).
by Saturday afternoon, DH and I needed a nap. so we took one. we were pooped.
that evening, we met up with two of our neighbors. we all were the first three couples that moved into our cul-de-sac. this was the first time that we've gotten together outside of our neighborhood to go have dinner together and then we went to shoot some pool afterwards. i have't been in a pool hall in probably a decade so that was really interesting..and fun :)
today, we woke up and ended up not making it to church because we were having car issues...which left DH in the garage all day getting that car taken car of. he's great :) and i on the other hand, have done about 4 loads of laundry whilst trying to get my card pics in order.
i've managed to post a photo gallery with some pics i've done this past year. hope you get to take a peek at them if you have time. and if you have any suggestions or comments, i would love to hear them. i say this as if there's anyone out there reading this.

Isn't it amazing how you can get so much out of volunteering? Sometimes more than the people you're serving even. I love that.
