my first post

well...it took a few months for me to finally just do it. just pick a blog site to use and be done with it. so many different things to choose from...but i do tend to favor what's the most bang for my buck...and nothing beats FREE - so THANK YOU to Blogger for enabling me to post my ramblings.

i used to blog on xanga a few years back, tried to get back into it, but have found that most of my xanga friends have left to join the rest of the blogging world or they just dropped off and succumbed to Facebook.

so why did i want to start blogging again, you may wonder? well, mostly it's because i've become so inspired by quite a few of the blogs i have been following. also, i love to scrapbook and make cards and really wanted a place where I could share my projects. i'm quite the novice with that hobby - but it's something i love to do and would love a place to share what i've learned from so many of those great talents out there!

also, i really love photography - although i'm not at all ready to pick that up as a hobby. i don't think i could do it justice! well, really...that's an excuse. i'm waiting until i can get my hands on a really decent camera. but in the meantime you'll just have to bear with the pics i take with my point-and-shoot camera. ;-)
